Beautiful 1940s Rosy Eiderdown (astb522)

Wow, what a stunning and supremely beautiful feather eiderdown! This rare beauty is covered with a smooth and luxurious satin which has a pretty pinky-flesh coloured background. This is smothered in tumbling and cascading pink roses on fresh green stems; without doubt, one of the prettiest and rarest patterns seen to date and the style is indicative of the 1940s. The reverse of the eiderdown is covered with a cotton chintz which is a slightly deeper flesh colour than the front.

The colours and pattern are supreme; this beauty will not disappoint! The eiderdown measures approximately 45" by 63" and can be considered a large single - perhaps even a small double! The condition is excellent for its age and it is lovely and plump with no fading. There is some minor marking to the plain side and the beginnings of minor wear to corners. The plain side has some small, faint water markings with one larger one at a corner. Satin eiderdowns can be machine washed if required.
