Violets in Glass Bowl Painting after Klein (pg700)

A really pretty and original antique oil painting on canvas which is signed and dated. This charming painting is a remarkable and impressive copy of a Catherine Klein original and depicts a glass bowl filled with dainty violets and accompanied by walnuts. The painting is signed E Firth and dated 1913. It is set into its original brushed gold gesso over wood frame, with a pale gold inset border and handmade glass.

A very beautiful antique painting for the discerning collector. Having seen a postcard of Klein's original, we can honestly say this painting is as good as one of Catherine's own works of art. The frame is approximately 48cm by 30cm. Minor age wear to the frame at edges. Some incursion of dust to bottom left of glass at the front but this could be removed if painting is taken out of the frame and then re-set into the frame. Small dimple to rear of canvas.
