Glorious 1930s Pink Roses on Blue Carpet (tx1132)

Quite the most beautiful antique carpet we have seen in many a year! This high-quality, large room-size, woven wool carpet is simply stunning. Its design of pale blue leading to a deeper blue at the edges, the pretty pink roses and flowers and the delicate scrolling and border patterns, all add up to make this a divine beauty. The colours are exquisite and, along with just the right amount of subtle wear in places, this carpet will completely transform a vintage interior, taking it to a a level of absolute beauty and wonder.

The carpet is approximately 9 feet by 11 feet 9 inches. It is in excellent condition for its age. It has some subtle wear, mainly to the areas either side of the centre and a few light/minor markings - these are minimal and the carpet is actually in terrific condition for its age. This is a quality woven carpet with hessian underside, which was probably made by one of the leading carpet manufacturer's at the time such as Axminster. It will therefore stand up to cleaning and any general marks will disappear. It has been given a thorough hoovering and airing.
